How It Works

Find out how our system works step-by-step through the real-life example of a Year 2 student named ‘Cayden’ who needs help with Math.

Step 1

Schedule an Initial Consultation

Fill in the enquiry form with the student’s level, subjects and any concerns. Calling or WhatsApp works too. We will ask for a few recent papers, match the student with a tutor, and book a trial lesson.

Step 2

Trial Lesson

The tutor reads the student’s papers first, so the lesson targets the real problem from minute one.
The trial lesson is $100 per hour up to Year 4, and $120 per hour for JC 1–2 and IB Year 1–2.

Step 3

Assessment

& Lesson Recommendation

After the trial lesson comes our diagnostic: what the student already does well, where marks are being lost, and how to fix it. This is our honest advice, and it is the family’s to keep whether or not lessons continue.

The Lesson Recommendation follows: how often and how long to have lessons, how much practice the student needs between them, and the likely monthly cost. We then adjust it to fit the student’s schedule and the family’s budget.

Step 4

Weekly Lessons

& Updates When It Matters

Once lessons begin, the family gets a shared Google workspace with personalised study materials that can be used at home.

Between lessons, the student can send their tutor homework questions on Google Chat.

The tutor knows the student’s work inside out, so updates are specific and timely: a topic that needs more time, a change in exam focus, or a real step forward. The family hears the moment it matters.

Most students stay with the same tutor from Year 2 until JC 2 or IB Year 2, so nobody has to start again halfway.

Begin with an honest assessment

Tutors review recent papers first, then advise on the best plan. Lessons are arranged only after the trial.
